MassDevelopment is Massachusetts' economic development authority and was created by an affiliation in 1995, followed by a legislative merger in 1998 of two independent economic development agencies. Over the past 20 years, MassDevelopment has worked with a vast number of Massachusetts businesses and institutions, providing over $10 billion in financing and creating nearly 100,000 jobs, while retaining thousands more.

MassDevelopment supports real estate development and other capital investment projects across the state by providing development and financial services across all sectors including; commercial and industrial, nonprofit, health and human services, housing, mixed-use facilities, and municipal. The agency supports projects from concept to development.
